// Who is the person behind the camera?
Well, that’s me — Regina Sova.
I’ve been on this photography journey for over seven years.
It all began because I was an athlete myself — and to this day, even after moving from Russia to Serbia, I’m still a horse owner.
The reason I started photographing riders and tournaments is simple: when I was an active rider, no one could capture me the way I wanted to be seen.
So I started capturing you the way I would have photographed myself — with special attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality.
Back in Russia, I studied graphic design for two years at the Krasnodar College of Art. I also have six years of academic art education behind me and am a huge fan of cinema. All of this has helped — and continues to help — me create stunning images.
“Cinematic!” is one of the most common compliments I receive. “Like a magazine cover” is the second most popular.
Composing a rider and a horse into a visually compelling frame and painting with light is definitely more complex than arranging a still life. But thanks to many years spent side-by-side with horses — and the people who care for them — I’m able to create images with remarkable depth.

I’ve had the opportunity to work at most major tournaments in southern Russia, including the annual traditional competitions: the Krasnodar Region Cup, the Governor’s Cup, the Legislative Assembly Cup, and the Union of Armenians of Russia Cup. I also worked at the 2024 Russian Cup and the All-Russian annual competitions in Taganrog.
My portfolio includes many significant riders from both Krasnodar and all over Russia. I was lucky enough to build long-term collaborations with some of them, accompanying their teams to tournaments — experiences I always remember with warmth and deep gratitude for the trust they placed in me.
